Asia Healthcare Holdings Procures Majority Stake in AINU by Investing Rs.600 Crore
Asia Healthcare Holdings announced on Sept 20 that it has acquired a majority stake in the Asian Institute of Nephrology and Urology and will invest Rs 600 crore in it. They said in a statement that the investment will be made through a combination of primary and secondary infusions.
The Asian Institute of Nephrology and Urology (AINU) is a hospital network that provides urology and nephrology care in four cities, with a focus on robotic urology surgery.
"This acquisition, along with AHH's entry into the urology and nephrology segments, marks the company's expansion into a fourth specialty," the company said.
AINU operates seven hospitals in Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Siliguri, and Chennai, totaling over 500 beds and treating over 4 lakh patients. According to the statement, it has also completed over 1,000 robotic urology surgeries.
"AINU not only adds a new speciality to the AHH platform, but it also strengthens our vision of scaling the country's single speciality healthcare delivery ecosystem," said AHH Executive Chairman Vishal Bali.
