Australia's REA Group to Launch First India GCC in Gurugram

AustraliaAustralia-based digital real estate advertising company, REA Group, is set to open its first Global Capability Centre (GCC) in India this October. The new innovation hub, located in Gurugram's Cyber City, marks a significant expansion for REA in the region.

Steve Maidment, Chief Technology Officer at REA Group, revealed plans to increase the company's India headcount to 10% of its global workforce within the next two years. "Our goal is to tap into the vast Indian talent pool in data, cloud, AI, and product development to create products for our Australian users", Maidment stated. The teams in Gurugram will collaborate closely with their Australian counterparts to enhance REA’s leading products and platforms, improving the property journey for millions of consumers daily.

REA Group, which also owns Indian property tech firms Housing.com, Makaan.com, and PropTiger.com through REA India, will initially recruit 70 highly skilled tech professionals before the GCC's official launch. This move underscores REA's commitment to leveraging India's expertise in technology and innovation to drive global growth and deliver exceptional consumer experiences.
