Ayekart Partners with Grameen Foundation to Offer Ayekrishi as Platform-as-a-Service
Ayekart, a prominent agrifood fintech platform, has announced a strategic partnership with Grameen Foundation India. This collaboration aims to extend Ayekart’s Ayekrishi platform as a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), along with market linkage services and embedded finance, to Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) connected with Grameen Foundation in India. The partnership seeks to bolster financial inclusion and empower marginalized communities, particularly women.
Ayekart, known for its integrated tech solutions in the food and agriculture value chain, is driving significant transformation within the sector. At the heart of this change is Ayekrishi, an FPO management tool designed to simplify business processes and enhance operational efficiency. FPOs using Ayekrishi can benefit from streamlined market linkage, access to extensive supplier networks, and comprehensive planning features that aid in organizing operations and making strategic decisions.
The collaboration’s primary goal is to integrate Ayekrishi into the market linkage activities and FPO management promoted by Grameen Foundation. This integration will provide FPOs with access to various marketable commodities and support in procuring and selling produce based on demand and supply conditions. Grameen Foundation’s involvement ensures that FPOs receive the necessary support and resources to leverage the Ayekrishi platform effectively, aligning with Grameen’s mission to connect farmers and FPOs with remunerative markets.
Debarshi Dutta, Co-Founder and CEO of Ayekart, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership, “Ayekart’s journey is rooted in our commitment to fuelling progress in the food and agri value chain. We are thrilled to partner with the Grameen Foundation India to extend our Ayekrishi services. This collaboration is a significant step towards enhancing the financial inclusion and market reach of FPOs and farmers. Together, we aim to create sustainable livelihoods and empower FPOs, farmers, and MSMEs by leveraging digital technology”.
Bharati Joshi, Interim CEO of Grameen Foundation India, highlighted the importance of the collaboration, “Joining hands with Ayekart allows us to further our mission of eradicating poverty and hunger by enabling the poor, especially women. We recognize the catalytic role of technology in bridging the gap between farmers and entrepreneurs on the one hand and the market, including technical service providers, on the other. We are happy to find an institutional partner like Ayekart that prioritizes purpose over profits. We envisage Ayekrishi’s innovative solutions will help us deepen our impact in agriculture and livelihoods, fostering resilience and sustainable growth in the communities we serve".
