Chef Mohammad Sameer Joins ANDAAZ Restaurant as Executive Pastry Chef
ANDAAZ Restaurant, renowned for its innovative approach to Indian cuisine, has appointed Chef Mohammad Sameer as its new Executive Pastry Chef. Chef Sameer brings over a decade of expertise in pastry and bakery arts and is set to elevate the dessert offerings at the restaurant's New Jersey location, enhancing the dining experience for guests.
Chef Sameer began his culinary career at the prestigious Taj Mahal Hotel, New Delhi, where his passion for pastry earned him accolades, including Best Star Employee in Food Production (2014) and Employee of the Year (2015). There, he honed his skills in bread-making, viennoiseries, and pastry specialties, laying the groundwork for his successful career.
He further refined his craft at Andaz by Hyatt, New Delhi, where he rose to the position of Sous Chef. During his tenure, he contributed to team mentorship, operational excellence, and innovative menu development, fostering a culinary team committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Chef Sameer’s expertise took him to Saudi Arabia, where he played pivotal roles in the pre-opening phases of high-profile restaurants such as Naya Daur, Vanguard, and Umbrella. As Pre-Opening Head Chef, he was instrumental in kitchen design, operational protocol development, and menu engineering, earning recognition as a specialist in launching successful dining concepts.
At ANDAAZ, Chef Sameer will introduce a sophisticated and innovative dessert menu that combines classical techniques with contemporary flavors. His dedication to quality and creativity is expected to add a new dimension to the restaurant's acclaimed culinary offerings.
