Cold Chain Technologies Eliminates 30 Million Pounds of Landfill Waste
Cold Chain Technologies, (CCT), a leading global provider of thermal packaging solutions for temperature-sensitive products for the life sciences industry, welcomed US Congressman Jake Auchincloss along with members from the Higher Ambition Leadership Alliance, at its global headquarters to help recognize and celebrate the company’s recent milestone achievements in sustainability.
As of October 2022, CCT has been able to eliminate 30 million pounds of waste from landfills, which far exceeds their goal of 25 million pounds by the end of 2023.
“CCT is deeply committed to reducing the negative impact on the environment and helping the life science industry achieve a reduction in CO2 emissions, landfill waste, and more.
We are honored to have Congressman Auchincloss join us today as we recognize our employees who are making significant contributions to CCT’s sustainability journey,” said Ranjeet Banerjee, CEO of Cold Chain Technologies.
“We are continually investing in the development and growth of sustainable and smart solutions for protecting our climate. Through our partnership with the Higher Ambition Leadership Alliance, CCT will engage in even more impactful projects on our sustainability journey.
CCT is currently building a coalition of purpose-driven companies to collaborate and co-create on innovating a resilient, sustainable, and smart value chain for the life sciences industry, from ‘plant to patient.’ The coalition will share ideas and prioritize collaboration opportunities to pilot and scale up by following a think big, start small, and scale fast approach.”
"We are proud to partner with the Cold Chain Technologies team to help accelerate their work through connections with other committed organizations as they challenge the status quo and advance more sustainable practices in the life sciences industry," said Jeannie Diefenderfer, CEO, Higher Ambition Leadership Alliance.
Previously announced on World Ozone Day in September 2022, CCT increased their overall commitment to eliminating landfill waste from 50 million pounds to 60 million pounds by 2025 through their extensive portfolio of sustainable offerings coupled with their digital platform, CCT Smart Solutions.
“CCT is leading the way for sustainable and innovative cold chain solutions for the life sciences industry,” said Congressman Auchincloss. “Climate action can’t wait and CCT is a great example of a business taking real action and responsibility.”
