Consilio, a globally recognized provider of technology solutions and enterprise legal services, is accredited with the WCAG 2.1 Level AA standard for its Sightline by Consilio, a leading eDiscovery platform.

In association with individuals and entities worldwide, the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2 standard is established to provide a single shared standard concerning web content accessibility, meeting requirements of individuals, organizations and governments internationally.

This certification honors the company’s eDiscovery platform’s accessibility to a wide range of people with disabilities in India, as well as, globally.

According to the company, accessibility is vital for the present digital economy. As a result, the improvements to Sightline by Consilio ensure aspects such as being perceivable, operable and understandable by every user, while enabling increased productivity among workers with visual and physical disabilities.

“Traditional eDiscovery software can be difficult to use if you are visually impaired or may not be able to use a mouse,” says Tom McCaffrey, VP Products.

“Our goal was to give all Sightline by Consilio users a better product experience by making the platform more accessible while modernizing the interface for all users.”

The enhancements to Sightline by Consilio are.

  • Color and Contrast: To improve legibility for the visually impaired, the color contrast is enhanced, making individual page elements stand out.

  • Design Elements: To clearly point where the action needs to be taken, focus markers, enlarged fonts, and icons have been added.

  • Keyboard Accessibility: To make the content navigable merely through the usage of the keyboard, the user experience is redesigned and provides complete support for screen reader software.

“Cultivating a diverse and inclusive experience is a key focus of Consilio, not only in how we attract, retain, and develop our employee talent, but also in how we design and build our products,” says Maureen O’Neill, Diversity & Inclusion Officer.

“We are thrilled about the improvements to Sightline by Consilio and will continue to focus on improving the user experience and innovating to make our platform accessible to all users.”
