Daimler India Names Michael Moebius as President, Chief Procurement Officer
Daimler India Commercial Vehicles, a wholly owned subsidiary of Daimler Truck AG, announced the appointment of Michael Moebius as President and Chief Procurement & Supply Chain Officer.
He will take over the position from Muthu Maruthachalam C.
Moebius was heading quality management for Daimler Truck Asia, Japan and was responsible for leading initiatives on quality with Mitsubishi Fuso, DICV, PABCO and critical completely knocked down assembly sites across the world, stated the company.
"He has been instrumental in his term to enhance product quality, reduce warranty cost, and also drive innovations such as 'Proactive Sensing,' an advanced big data solution for early failure detection", it further said.
Moebius began his career with Daimler in 1990 and has covered numerous functions for Mercedes-Benz Cars and Daimler Buses.
