Dow India, the Indian wing of Dow Chemical International Pvt. Ltd., has been honored with the Prestigious recognition of ‘ICC Aditya Birla Award for best Responsible Care Committed Company’ for the year 2021, by the Indian Chemical Council (ICC).

As the global chemical industry's voluntary initiative, Responsible Care® (RC) drives continuous improvement in safe chemicals management and achieves Excellence in Environmental, Health, Safety and Security (EHS&S) performance.

At Dow India the Responsible Care® program was implemented for its sites in 2005 and most Dow India sites have zero reportable injury or incident for more than a decade. 

Dow developed and implemented the World class Operating Discipline Management System (ODMS) which contains policies, standards, work processes, best practices, and procedures. 

The company has not only spearheaded industry collaborative platforms like Nicer Globe, but also persistently mentoring other chemical companies to implement Responsible Care codes. Sustainability is one of the strategic pillars of Dow.

On receiving the award, Chandrakant Nayak, CEO and Country President Dow India, commented, “It is an opportune moment for Dow India.
