Envision Energy to Deliver 100 Turbines for 300-MW Wind Project in Karnataka

EnvisionEnvision Energy has announced its agreement to deliver approximately 100 turbines of 3.3 MW each for a 300-MW offshore wind initiative in Karnataka. The project, established by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) for Viviid Renewables (Viviid), will be executed in collaboration with Envision Energy. The turbine supply contract involves the EN 156 3.3 MW turbines through Envision Wind Power Technologies India. Viviid's contribution will encompass balance-of-plant works and services while holding a minority stake in the project.

Envision Energy's announcement didn't include specific financial details about the project. The company plans to supply approximately 95-100 turbines for the initiative, which is expected to conclude by the end of 2025. Peter Sjontoft, an Associate Partner at CIP, expressed anticipation for continuing the productive partnership and emphasized the project's contributions to local development, job creation, and favorable returns for fund investors.

Kane Xu, Envision Energy's Global Vice President and Chairman of Envision Energy India, highlighted the pressing need for collaborative efforts to accelerate the transition toward sustainable energy in response to the climate crisis.
