EU-India Innocenter Expands Market Entry for Indian Startups
EU-India Innocenter, a global innovation hub and growth accelerator that facilitates connections between the European and Indian innovation ecosystems, is hosting a week-long immersion program in Bengaluru for six European startups. The participating startups Anyline, Nano-tech, Cheesecake Energy, Enline, PVRmed, and Soula AI offer solutions across various sectors, including health tech, clean-tech, and deep technology. Funded by the European Union through the R&I framework program 'Horizon 2020,' this initiative represents the eighth cohort of the project. It involves startups, over twenty investors, and innovation hubs aiming to explore potential collaborations with Indian startup stakeholders.
On November 8, during the inaugural day of the visit, the European startups showcased their technologies to venture capitalists, potential partners, and corporations from India and Europe at the Bangalore International Centre. Throughout the week-long program, these start-ups and investors will extensively engage with the Indian startup ecosystem. The itinerary includes various activities such as a roundtable discussion at NASSCOM Future Forge, a visit to Tata Elxsi, an EU-India partnership roundtable focusing on smart cities and cross-border innovation with Indian real estate leaders, a pitch session involving startups and venture capitalists organized by Karnataka Digital Economy Mission, and visits to DERBI Foundation and the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms.
During the event's commencement, EU-India Innocenter also announced the expansion of its market-entry services, catering to Indian startups keen on exploring the European market. Mr. Seppo Nurmi, charge d’affaires at the European Union Delegation to India, commended EU-India Innocenter for successfully connecting European and Indian startup businesses. He expressed satisfaction with the EU-funded initiative's role in unlocking collaborative potential between the two ecosystems, foreseeing benefits for both economies and citizens.
