EverenEverEnviro Resource Management Pvt Ltd, a prominent compressed biogas (CBG) developer in India, has joined forces with its associate partner Thermax Bioenergy Solutions Pvt Ltd (TBSPL) to collaborate with Denmark's European Sustainable Solutions ApS (EUSUSO). The three entities have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to incorporate EUSUSO’s Gemidan Ecogi technology in the construction of municipal solid waste (MSW) based CBG plants throughout India.

The agreement, formalized in the presence of Danish Foreign Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen, aims to leverage EUSUSO’s patented technology to enhance CBG production in India. Mahesh Girdhar, MD & CEO of EverEnviro, expressed their commitment to building a robust CBG ecosystem to meet India’s energy needs.

EUSUSO is renowned for its technological leadership in waste management and green fuel production in Europe, boasting a 99.996% efficiency rate in optimizing the pre-treatment phase in CBG plants. Girdhar expressed confidence that this collaboration would strengthen CBG production while addressing India’s municipal waste management challenges.

This technological integration comes at a crucial time as India faces issues related to urbanization and landfill capacity. The initiative aligns with the Indian government's GOBARdhan initiative, aimed at accelerating the development of MSW based CBG plants. EverEnviro is already in the process of establishing eight such plants.

Lars Rosgaard, CEO of EUSUSO, acknowledged India's potential in the bioenergy sector, citing it as the fastest-growing major economy globally. He outlined EUSUSO’s long-term vision, which includes manufacturing equipment in India and introducing solutions for paddy straw management, as well as the production of sustainable aviation and shipping fuel.

Deodatta Deshpande, CEO of TBSPL, highlighted the significance of international technology transfers and emphasized that integrating the Gemidan Ecogi technology in upcoming MSW-based CBG plants is a significant step toward achieving India's net-zero ambitions by 2070.
