Exotel hires ex-Cisco executive Pranesh Babu as SVP of Delivery and Support
Cloud communication services provider Exotel Friday said the company has appointed former Cisco executive Pranesh Babu as the SVP of Delivery and Support.
In his new role, Babu would lead the Delivery team in solutions designing, customer onboarding and revenue realization strategies for large enterprises. In addition, he would also lead Support initiatives ensuring Exotel's customers continue to receive round-the-clock services, according to a media release.
Babu comes with over 30 years of experience in the telecoms sector. Prior to joining Exotel, he served in the roles of Director for Services handling TAC (Technical Assistance Center) Support and Project Delivery at Cisco Systems.
He also worked with Sify Technologies for 14 years, where he served as President and CTO of Network and Service Engineering.
"Customer Support and Solutioning have always been Exotel's strength, and with Pranesh, we hope to make it our differentiator,” said Ishwar Sridharan, COO & Co-founder of Exotel.
Babu has also contributed to large transformational projects of telcos like Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel, the release added.
"I am very excited to be joining the Exotel team,” said Babu on his appointment. “It would be my pleasure to lead the Support and Delivery functions and help scale up the business ."
At a current team size of over 1,000, Exotel plans to hire 700 new employees in this financial year as part of its growth strategy. Post raising $100 million last year, Exotel recently received a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) license.
Exotel said that at a current revenue of $60 million annual run rate (ARR), the company is growing at a CAGR of 70%, aiming to hit an ARR of $200 million over the next four years.
