Federal Bank Launches 26 New Branches in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry

FederalFederal Bank, a private lender, marked a significant milestone as it unveiled 26 new branches across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. The inauguration ceremony was led by Shyam Srinivasan, the MD and CEO of the bank, alongside Eqbal Manoj, Senior Vice President and Zonal Head, along with other esteemed staff members.

This expansion boosts the total number of Federal Bank branches in the Chennai zone to over 250, underlining the bank's commitment to enhancing its footprint in key regions. Alongside the branch openings, the bank showcased its philanthropic side by donating 26 smart vision devices to aid visually impaired individuals. This generous gesture was facilitated through the Rotary Club of Chennai Towers.

Additionally, the bank extended its support to local communities by disbursing SHG (Self-Help Group) loans to 60 women beneficiaries in collaboration with the Tiruvallur District Fishermen Federation in Ponneri.

The 26 newly established branches are strategically located across various towns including Aranthangi, Manapparai, Ponneri, and Vadalur, among others, further solidifying the bank's presence in both urban and rural areas.

Reflecting on this milestone, Shyam Srinivasan expressed his satisfaction with the bank's progress, highlighting the significant expansion achieved during the fiscal year. He emphasized the bank's commitment to digital innovation while maintaining a human-centric approach, positioning it well for future growth in an increasingly AI-driven landscape.

As the financial year progresses, Federal Bank enters with optimism, leveraging its extensive network and robust strategies to navigate evolving market dynamics and deliver value to its stakeholders. With the ambitious goal of reaching 1,500 branches by the end of the month, the bank remains poised for continued success in the years ahead.
