Twitter India has appointed Manish Maheshwari, the former CEO of Network18 as the new Managing Director. Manish will be assigned the responsibility of driving an integrated business strategy to boost Twitter’s revenue growth and popularity in the country during the season of LS Elections, cricket WC and #MeTooIndia movement and more. Based in Delhi and reporting to Maya Hari, the Vice President & MD – APAC, Manish will be managing Twitter India’s teams in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru.

Prior to Twitter, Manish was the CEO of Network18 digital and previously he has held several key positions such as Head of Merchant Business & Seller Ecosystem at Flipkart, GM & MD at Intuit and Manager at Procter & Gamble. He also holds an MBA with honours from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Manish will start on April 29th and he will be responsible for strengthening Twitter’s presence in the country by making it the best place to discuss the things happening around the world. The teams will focus on driving conversations and audience engagements to create partnerships with brands, agencies and publishers to connect with the respective audiences on Twitter. Manish took over the role from Balaji Krish, who led the Twitter India team for the past few months. Krish will return to San Francisco to continue his role as Global Head of Revenue Strategy & Operations at Twitter.
