Garmin and Apollo Hospitals Partner to Boost Health Monitoring in India

USUS-based fitness wearables and health technology major, Garmin, today announced a landmark partnership with Apollo HealthAxis, a subsidiary of India's largest hospital chain, Apollo Hospitals. The two companies will collaborate to transform health monitoring and wellness solutions across the country by integrating Garmin's leading-edge fitness trackers with Apollo Health Plans to provide users with advanced health insights and customized wellness programs.

The agreement was finalized during the annual Garmin Health Summit held in Prague. Pursuant to this, Apollo HealthAxis shall integrate selected Garmin fitness trackers with Apollo Health Plans so that users of such plans can track their health much more closely and proactively. Also, customers purchasing certain Garmin devices for fitness shall be entitled to gain access to Apollo ProHealth, a programme tailored by doctors and driven by artificial intelligence. It uses patient data for health risk predictions and guides the user through steps toward better wellness. Partnership The joint social responsibility initiative is designed to deliver innovative healthcare services to rural communities in India. This will lead to an enhanced access of quality health monitoring in underserved areas through a perfect amalgamation of advanced wearable technology from Garmin and extensive healthcare expertise of Apollo.
