Havas India Launches CSA, Appoints Gaurav Seth as MD
Havas India has officially launched CSA (Customer Science Analytics), the global technology, data, and analytics arm of the Havas Group, in a significant move to enhance its data-driven marketing capabilities. This launch aims to help brands leverage customer data to fuel growth and achieve meaningful results by offering advanced, data-led solutions. As part of this development, Havas India has also merged PivotConsult, the strategic consulting arm of PivotRoots, into CSA India. The 55-member PivotConsult team works with prominent clients, including Kotak Bank, Bisleri, Wildcraft, Coca-Cola, and Samsung. This merger is expected to strengthen CSA India’s ability to deliver cutting-edge data solutions to a wider client base.
CSA’s entry into the Indian market comes at a time when brands are increasingly looking to optimize their data usage. The initiative blends global expertise with local market insights, offering clients a comprehensive view of their marketing performance. CSA's product suite is designed to adapt to varying levels of data maturity, helping businesses enhance their return on investment and make informed marketing decisions. With its broad range of services, CSA aims to transform data into actionable insights, offering solutions in areas such as automation, digital transformation, and data-driven marketing measurement.
Jamie Seltzer, Global EVP for CSA & Mx Analytics, emphasized the importance of entering the Indian market at this juncture. He noted that India, being the industry’s fastest-growing market, is witnessing exponential growth. Seltzer expressed excitement about bringing CSA’s integrated approach to data, technology, and analytics to the region, which he believes will enable Indian brands to make the most of their data and tech assets.
Leading this strategic initiative is Gaurav Seth, who has been appointed as the Managing Director of CSA India. Based in Mumbai, Seth brings over two decades of experience in digital advertising and data-driven marketing solutions. He has led more than 300 projects for ad networks, agencies, and product companies, establishing himself as a recognized expert in the field. Most notably, during his eight-year tenure at Lotame, a global data management company, Seth built its business in India from the ground up, turning it into the leading data management platform in the country. His deep understanding of the marketing ecosystem, gained through working with marketers, publishers, agencies, and ad tech firms, positions him as a strong leader for CSA India.
Rana Barua, Group CEO of Havas India for SEA & North Asia, hailed the launch of CSA as a major milestone in the company’s journey toward offering integrated, data-led solutions to clients. Barua pointed out that as businesses increasingly turn to data for driving growth, CSA’s combination of global expertise and local insights will provide them with the tools they need to navigate today’s complex marketing landscape. He added that with Gaurav Seth at the helm and the integration of PivotConsult, CSA India is well-positioned to lead the way in helping brands unlock the full potential of their data to achieve meaningful business outcomes.
Mohit Joshi, CEO of Havas Media Network India, also expressed optimism about CSA’s entry into the Indian market. He noted that more than half of marketers struggle with redundant marketing technologies and spend excessive time learning new platforms that are often not optimized for their needs. Joshi highlighted how Havas CSA addresses this issue by leveraging its expertise in Martech and Adtech, gained from working with over 1,000 clients globally. He wished Gaurav Seth the best in leading this new venture and expressed confidence in CSA India’s ability to provide solutions at the vital intersection of marketing, data, and technology.
With the launch of CSA in India and Gaurav Seth leading its operations, Havas India is set to become a market leader in data-led marketing solutions, helping brands maximize their data assets for growth and transformation.
