Havells India Partners With Clixt To Bring SSCB Tech To India
Havells India, a leading manufacturer of electrical products and appliances, said on Tuesday that it has entered into a commercial arrangement with Swedish tech startup Blixt Tech AB to bring Solid State Circuit Breaker (SSCB) technology in the Indian market.
Havells strengthens their position in the switchgear area by launching SSCB. According to a joint statement, it also emphasises Havells' focus on creative and future-ready solutions.
"With this collaboration, Havells is positioned to have a substantial influence in the Indian electrical industry," the company stated.
According to Havells, India's need for high-power applications will rise quicker in the future decades, and the power system will become technologically superior, smart, and favourable to IT-enabled data exchange and management technology.
SSCBs may stop current flow far quicker than typical mechanical circuit breakers and, unlike traditional electromechanical breakers, have little wear and tear owing to digital switching with almost no arc. "SSCBs are set to be a critical industry technology," it stated.
"With this collaboration, we are poised to make a significant impact on the future of the Indian and global electrical industries," Havells India Executive Vice President Vivek Yadav said. "SSCBs have versatile applications in the electrical industry, including power distribution, renewable energy, data centres, electric vehicles, and aerospace and defence."
Trued Holmquist, Co-Founder and CEO, BLIXT said: "Teaming up with the market leader in India will allow us to scale faster and reach a huge market in rapid transition. "We believe the fit and timing is perfect and together with Havells we will be able to reach millions of customers who would benefit from this new technology."
