Hero MotoCorp Halts Production at Four Plants Over Supply Alignment

Hero MotoCorp announced halting production at four of its plants from April 17 to April 19 in order to perform short-term supply alignment.

The time will be used by the company to perform facility maintenance tasks.

The company stated that it is using this scheduled pause to reinforce operations by performing facilities improvements, maintenance, and upkeep.

The company stated that production will start up again on April 21, 2025.

Hero MotoCorp stated that the company's capacity to satisfy retail demand in both domestic and foreign markets will not be impacted by the manufacturing halt.

It further stated that any production delays would be effectively made up in the upcoming month.

Hero MotoCorp maintained its top spot in the domestic two-wheeler market by selling more than 54 lakh units last year.

Hero MotoCorp now has a combined installed yearly production capacity of almost nine million units.

 

On April 17, the company halted production at four of its manufacturing facilities, causing its shares to drop by over three percent.

Hero MotoCorp's shares were down about three percent at Rs 3,680 per at 10:22 a.m. on April 17 on the NSE.

The stock's 52-week high is Rs 6,246 and its 52-week low is Rs 3,344. It has a market value of Rs 73,700 crore.

Hero MotoCorp has stated that its plants in Halol and Tirupati will stay open throughout this period.
