HUL Names BP Biddappa as New HR Chief, Anuradha Razdan Moves to Global Role
BP Biddappa is set to become a key member of Hindustan Unilever's Management Committee, taking on the role of Executive Director for Human Resources and Chief People, Transformation, and Sustainability Officer for South Asia. Pending shareholder approval, Biddappa will also join the HUL board as a full-time director. In this capacity, he will spearhead people-focused initiatives across South Asia and oversee transformation efforts aimed at enhancing business, organizational, and sustainability outcomes.
Anuradha Razdan, currently serving as the Executive Director of Human Resources at HUL and Chief HR Officer for South Asia, is set to transition to a global role within Unilever as the Chief Reward and Organization Development Officer. This change will come into effect on June 1, 2024.
Biddappa is the chief HR officer for Global Home Care and head of Global Employee Relations for Unilever. He started his over three-decade-long career in Unilever with a factory stint in HUL and then moved on to undertake a variety of roles, from leadership development to business partnering, across several Unilever businesses and led HR for Unilever in Maghreb, Bangladesh, and India.
During the past five years, Biddappa has spearheaded two pivotal areas of expertise for Unilever on a global scale: organization development and people analytics, along with global employee relations. Additionally, he played a key role in establishing and nurturing Unilever's health and wellbeing business, as well as the Unilever Professionals business, as highlighted in the statement.
