Hyundai Launches New Compact SUV Exter Suv in India

Hyundai Motor India Ltd, the second largest automobile manufacturer in India, embarked on a new journey with the launch of its new, much awaited sub-compact SUV, Hyundai Exter SUV.  The sub-compact SUV market is now dominated by Tata Punch and Maruti Suzuki Fronx.

The Hyundai Exeter SUV is presently one the smallest and affordable SUVs available in India. The car comes with eye- catching external and internal features specially designed for the young automobile enthusiasts. Projector headlights, H-shaped daytime running lights, and a noticeable grille defining the front fascia. The Exter has visible side cladding and alloy wheels with diamond cuts on the sides with linking bars and H-shaped LED tail lights at the back.

The company has launched the car with an all-black interior theme with features like the eight-inch touch screen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, an electric sunroof, BlueLink connectivity, a dash cam with dual cameras, six airbags, automatic climate control, cruise control, a fully digital instrument cluster, and wireless charging.

Commenting on the occassion, MD & CEO, Hyunda, Unsoo Kim, says, “With the launch of the Exter, we have become a full-range SUV manufacturer, including the exceptional range of hyundai SUVs like Hyundai venue, Hundai creta, Hundai alcazar etc.” The ex-showroom prices of Exter begins Rs. 5.99 Lakh.

 

The Exter is fueled by a 1.2-litre, four-cylinder, Kappa petrol engine with an output of 82bhp and 114 Nm of torque with a CNG variant that generates an output of 68bhp and 95 Nm of torque. This motor is paired with a five-speed manual unit and an AMT unit, with an array of six exterior monotone color options and three dualtone.
