InCred Finance Appoints Gaurav Maheshwari as Chief Financial Officer

InCredInCred Finance, a KKR-backed non-banking financial company, has appointed Gaurav Maheshwari as its new Chief Financial Officer, sources familiar with the development revealed. Maheshwari, who has served as CFO at Standard Chartered Bank since 2020, previously held the role of finance head at Altico Capital. He brings over 27 years of experience in the finance sector, including positions at Coca-Cola and Reuters.

His appointment follows Vivek Bansal, who previously led the finance department at InCred Finance. "This recruitment aligns with InCred Finance's plans to strengthen its leadership team", said a source familiar with the matter. InCred Finance declined to comment on the appointment.

Maheshwari is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics. He previously worked at Standard Chartered for 17 years across various finance roles.

Founded in 2016 by Bhupinder Singh, InCred Finance specializes in retail, MSME, and education loans. The company became a unicorn in late 2023 and has a loan book exceeding Rs 9,000 crore. InCred’s equity investors include KKR, ADIA, OAKS, Investcorp, Moore Capital, Elevar Equity, Ranjan Pai, and Gaurav Dalmia, among others.
