To provide women a "pink edge" in a quickly changing, tech-driven environment, India Inc. is actively pushing to change workplaces by advancing inclusivity, diversity, and gender equality.

Through specialized leadership programs, AI-driven upskilling, and increased flexibility to facilitate work-life balance, companies are increasing their efforts to attract and retain female talent.

Equal opportunities are now a major focus of this shift toward a more egalitarian workplace, surpassing pay and benefits as the top concern for women.

Govindraj M K, CHRO at Myntra, said, "We provide additional flexibility through our MynVive: Myntra Ramp-back Programme, which offers new mothers and primary caregivers options offering extended flexibility, such as sabbatical leave for up to 24 weeks and the option to work at 50 percent capacity for three months post-maternity."

To encourage better work-life balance, certain organizations, like Meesho, have hybrid work rules, while others, like TCS and Accenture, offer flexible work choices.

Skills that foster creativity and adaptability are more important than ever as industries change in tandem with technology.

Automation and artificial intelligence are changing many industries, so the workforce needs new skills to remain competitive.  But there is still a big gap in the quality, coverage, and accessibility of these essential abilities.

However, many companies are insisting on a strict return to office. Rituparna Chakraborty, co-founder TeamLease, cautions, "The result will be that organisations that embrace AI to enable personalised learning, hybrid work and career paths, and flexible working will be able to attract and retain the best female talent."

It's encouraging to see that, in 2025, women's employment options in India increased by 48 percent, with considerable development in developing tech industries.
