TheThe 6th US-India CEO Forum, co-chaired by India's Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and US Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo, emphasized the nations’ shared dedication to expanding trade and fostering inclusive economic growth. Held in Washington, the forum convened government officials and business leaders from both countries.

Key discussions focused on strengthening trade relations, fostering innovation, and boosting economic resilience. Particular emphasis was placed on collaboration in critical sectors, including defense, space, semiconductors, telecom, AI, and clean energy.

On the sidelines, Goyal and Raimondo met for lunch to explore further avenues for partnership. Goyal noted on X that their discussions centered around technology and R&D cooperation, as well as the potential for US investments in 20 new industrial cities planned in India.

The US-India CEO Forum, representing 22 American and 25 Indian companies, plays a crucial role in shaping joint strategies to enhance bilateral trade and investment. James Taiclet, CEO of Lockheed Martin, and N. Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons, are the forum's private sector co-chairs for the 2023-2024 term.

The forum also reviewed progress on the NIHIT (Network for Innovation and Harnessing Investments and Trade for Inclusive Growth) platform, which supports knowledge sharing between startups and small businesses. NIHIT has organized four workshops to date, covering cybersecurity, digital technologies, and AI, and engaging over 1,000 entrepreneurs.

Through these initiatives, the forum continues to strengthen commercial ties and foster mutual growth through strategic collaboration across key industries.
