India-EU In order to explore partnerships with possible Indian startup stakeholders, Innocenter, an EU-funded project under the R&I framework programme "Horizon 2020," presents its eighth cohort of seven European entrepreneurs, along with over twenty investors and innovation Hubs. Six high-impact startups are spending a week in Bangalore immersed in the Indian subcontinent thanks to the support of EU-India Innocenter, a global innovation hub and growth accelerator that links the Indian and European innovation ecosystems. The following startups offer solutions: Anyline, Nano-tech, Cheesecake Energy, Enline, PVRmed, and Soula AI. These companies work in a variety of important growth fields, including deep technology, clean tech, and health tech.

The startups and investors will look deeply into the Indian startup ecosystem throughout the course of the week. The itinerary for the visit includes a roundtable discussion at NASSCOM Future Forge, a field trip to Tata Elxsi, a pitch session with startups and venture capitalists (VCs) from both India and the EU focused on cross-border innovation and smart cities, a pitch session organised by KDEM (Karnataka Digital Economy Mission), a visit to the DERBI Foundation, and a visit to the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms (C-CAMP) in Bangalore.

Indian businesses looking to explore the European market can now take advantage of EU-India Innocenter's expanded market-entry services, as the company revealed last week. The bidirectional movement of European and Indian startups demonstrates the growing globalisation of startups. "Startups are the pulse of any economy, accelerating innovation and sustainable development," remarked Seppo Nurmi, charge d'affaires, European Union Delegation to India, congratulating EU-India Innocenter on successfully facilitating matchmaking between European and Indian startup enterprises.
