India-UAE Business Forum to Drive Strategic Partnerships

The India-UAE Business Forum, set to take place in Mumbai tomorrow, aims to explore new avenues for trade, investment, and partnership across critical sectors such as healthcare, biotechnology, renewable energy, artificial intelligence, logistics, and agricultural technology.

Organized by the UAE’s Ministry of Economy in collaboration with the UAE Embassy in New Delhi and India’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the forum will focus on bilateral non-oil trade. 

This high-profile event coincides with the visit of Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince, Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nahan, to Mumbai. Under the theme “Beyond CEPA:Innovation and Future- Ready Economies,” the forum seeks to build on the India-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), which came into effect in May 2022.

CEPA has become a catalyst for strengthening economic ties between the two nations, removing trade barriers, reducing tariffs, and harmonizing customs processes across more than 80 percent of products exchanged. 

The forum will gather government officials, business leaders, industrialists, and entrepreneurs to discuss ways to deepen their partnerships and create new opportunities.  This session will explore the potential for collaboration in cutting-edge technologies to revolutionize the medical field. 

 

Key sessions include “Healthcare and Biotechnology: Pioneering the Future of Medicine,” focusing on using CEPA to advance biotechnology, genomic medicine, AI-driven healthcare solutions, digital health, and pharmaceutical research between the two countries.

 

Another notable session, “ Renewable Energy and Sustainability: Pioneering the Green Revolution,” will showcase the UAE’s work in delivering wind, solar, and geothermal energy solutions across the developing world, The UAE’s expertise in this sector will be highlighted as both nations explore strategies for achieving sustainable growth. 

The event will also cover AI and emerging technologies, emphasizing the use of these tools to modernize various industries, including logistics and supply chains. Other discussions and sustainable farming practices, where both India and the UAE can work together to develop resilient, innovative solutions. 

As the forum unfolds, it promises to create new opportunities for Indian and UAE businesses, enhancing the already robust trade relationships that has flourished since CEPA’s implementation. The India-UAE partnership, grounded in mutual benefits, continues to grow, with this forum marking another significant milestone in their shared economic future.
