Inox Wind Collaborates with German Firm for Wind Turbine Generators

IndianIndian company Inox Wind has announced a partnership with Germany's Wind to Energy to launch a fresh range of wind turbine generators in the local market. In accordance with the agreement, Wind to Energy (W2E) will contribute its technology and design expertise for the 4.X MW series wind turbine generators (WTG), as stated by Inox Wind Ltd (IWL). This new series of WTGs is specifically tailored for the low wind conditions prevalent in India, the company highlighted. Wind to Energy (W2E) is recognized globally as a provider of technology and design solutions for wind turbines.

Inox Wind presently produces 2 MW and 3 MW turbines with various blades under existing licenses with AMSC. The company aims to deploy its 4.X MW series Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) across diverse locations in the country. Inox Wind emphasizes that the 4.X MW series WTG is adaptable for upgrades using boosters and will be offered in multiple blade and tower variations.

"The introduction of the 4.X MW wind turbines signifies a significant achievement for Inox Wind as we continue our growth trajectory. These turbines, with upgrade capabilities through boosters, will be provided in various configurations", mentioned the company.

Kailash Tarachandani, CEO of Inox Wind, expressed, "The launch of the 4.X MW series turbines positions IWL strategically on the technological front for the next decade, laying a robust foundation for substantial growth ahead".
