With the release of three new model domains—Data Management, People Management, and Virtual Work—the ISACA Capability Maturity Model Integration, or CMMI, which has been helping businesses for more than three decades, is now offering a significant model update that gives them even more freedom to tailor their CMMI adoption to their particular requirements.

For more than 30 years, CMMI methods have been a mainstay in the field of performance improvement. They have assisted businesses all over the world in raising performance, enhancing quality, reducing inefficiencies, and better meeting the demands of both organizations and their clients.

CMMI-appraised corporations achieved an 81.3 percent success rate for their specified objectives, improved productivity by up to 77 percent, and improved product quality by up to 80 percent, per its most current performance report, which tracks the actual results of businesses using CMMI. The maturity model concept of CMMI has been simplified in this most recent edition to give enterprises more options when adopting CMMI.

By lowering costs, generating savings, and meeting deadlines while also increasing overall quality, addressing enterprise performance can help firms better weather challenges in a market that is becoming more competitive.

"The Indian IT sector is a significant contributor to the global economy generating billions of dollars annually. Indian companies, including small and medium size enterprises, have been at the forefront of CMMI process adoption, including a growing number that have been attaining CMMI Level 5 in the last few years. As Indian companies strive to continue to grow and retain their competitive edge, while managing the challenges of a virtual workforce and a slowdown in the global markets, adopting ISACA's CMMI model with its eight distinct domains will enable them to add value to their contribution. ISACA has been working with over 1,450 leading organizations in India to support them with their CMMI adoption and with the new model, looks to expand this further in the year ahead." - RV Raghu, ISACA Ambassador and Director, Versatilist Consulting India Pvt Ltd.
