Bangalore-based healthcare startup IVF Access raises $5 million in Series A funding from Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia and India. As a part of the deal, Vertex Ventures SEA & India’s Managing Partner Ben Mathias will join the IVF Access Board. The startup will use this fund to setup IVF clinics PAN India to provide assisted reproductive treatments, with its operations enabled by a proprietary IT platform.

IVF Access was founded in 2019 by Naresh Rao, Nikhil Rajmohan, Harinath Chakravarthy and Pravin Sethuraman (former management team at Nova IVI Fertility), who together brings years of experience. Naresh (CEO, IVF Access) brings in around 22 years of experience, Nikhil (COO) holds over 12 years of experience, while Harinath (CT&PO) has nearly two decades of experience and Pravin (CFO) brings nearly 23 years of experience. Together they have earlier grew Nova IVF Fertility business to 20 IVF centres spread across 15 cities.

Naresh asserts, “When it comes to IVF, access is everything. IVF Access will increase the reach of such fertility treatments through a chain of clinics in India, where couples trying to conceive will have access to both technology and medical expertise.

India is suffering from an increasing rate of infertility where around 27.5 million couples who are actively trying to conceive suffer from infertility. This is why the Indian IVF market has great opportunity in the coming days. But despite this high demand, the penetration of IVF treatment is currently very low in India. Hence IVF Access aims change this picture by increasing the reach of such fertility treatments and procedures for couples PAN India.
