As per Jettwings Airways, the government's regional connectivity programme has granted it the No Objection Certificate, or NOC, to run Scheduled Commuter Air Transport Services in India.

With its base in Guwahati, the airline intends to provide regional connectivity to customers under the UDAN Scheme at first to a number of locations in the Northeast and eastern areas.

Jettwings Airways intends to introduce a fleet of contemporary aircraft, including turbofan and turbo-propelled ones, to offer premium economy services for regional travel after receiving all necessary regulatory approvals and an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).

Jettwings Airways will be the first airline from the Northeast to fly in the nation once it receives approval for flight operations.

"Once we are granted the AOC, we strongly believe and commit to becoming a reliable and sustainable airline with its roots deeply entrenched in North East India, connecting unique yet important destinations," said Sanjay Aditya Singh, Co-Founder and CEO, Jettwings Airlines.

Reliable, prompt, and high-quality service is needed for regional connections. The airline has put together a group of qualified aviation experts to match this expectation. Jettwings Airways also intends to roll out a loyalty programme to reward frequent travellers.

The government's initiatives to increase regional connections, according to Sanjive Narain, Chairman of Jettwings Airways, have greatly increased trade for certain regions, supported economic growth, and improved the tourism industry.

“We believe that under the UDAN Scheme, we have a unique opportunity to make significant impact on the Northeast region by improving connectivity and creating new economic opportunities," he said.
