Reliance Jio Infocomm is targeting an annual revenue opportunity of ₹ 70,000 as part of its "changing India project" to connect 100 million households with broadband over the next few years, a senior company executive told ET. This is an important part of the telco's effort to monetize 5G services and increase average revenue per user (ARPU).

While fiber remains an important medium, its Fixed Wireless (FWA) offering is key for JioAirFiber to reach the ambitious number."AirFiber will bring us to  100 million of those homes in the next few years" said the CEO, adding that the company is on track to achieve its goals, but there are no disruptions in the supply chain.

"For us, it's a 'change India' project. Once we get into those 100 million homes, it will allow us the ability to offer 'n' number of services on top of that like education, entertainment, etc.," the official added. Jio, the telecoms unit of Reliance Industries, launched JioAirFiber in eight cities, including Bengaluru, Delhi and Mumbai, in September 2023, and its pan-India coverage is expected in the coming months.
