JSW MG Motor India Expects 65 Percent of Sales from Electric Vehicles

By the end of this year, JSW MG Motor India anticipates that up to 65 percent of its total sales will come from electric vehicles.
In 2024, EVs accounted for half of the company's sales, with its all-electric crossover utility vehicle Windsor surpassing the 20,000 unit total sales milestone in just six months.
The new 'accessible luxury' channel MG Select will be used to retail the MG Cyberster and MG M9, two more new energy vehicles from JSW MG Motor India.
Windsor commented that the model's "exceptional value proposition" has been favorably accepted by consumers, indicating the positive traction he has seen.
According to Sen, the Windsor is now the quickest EV model to reach the milestone of 20,000 cumulative sales.
"In addition, with the MG Windsor, we have successfully addressed category barriers and dispelled several myths around EVs in India through our innovative approach," he added.
In September of last year, the firm unveiled Windsor and offered an ownership plan through Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS).
The company asserted that the cost of owning the model was comparable to that of a compact SUV with a manual engine.
The MG Cyberster, an all-electric roadster, and the MG M9, a luxury offering under MG Select, the brand's premium vehicle channel, will be the next additions to JSW MG Motor India's product roster.
