Kalyani Steel Signs MoU with Odisha Government for Advanced Manufacturing Complex
Kalyani Steel Limited has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Odisha government, in the presence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, to establish a Titanium Metal and Aerospace Components Manufacturing, and Integrated Advanced Specialty Steel and Automotive Components Manufacturing Complex in the state.
Under the MoU, the multinational conglomerate will construct a comprehensive manufacturing complex in Gajamara, Dhenkanal district. Expressing his optimism, CM Patnaik highlighted the venture's alignment with the state's vision for creating high-skill job opportunities in emerging sectors.
"With an investment of Rs 11,751 crore, this venture is set to revolutionize our industrial landscape, providing over 10,000 job opportunities in highly skill-oriented trades", stated Patnaik. He emphasized the project's role in fostering an ecosystem conducive to new-age industries.
Patnaik also underlined the project's potential to catalyze the growth of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), thereby creating additional employment opportunities.
Amit Kalyani, Director of Kalyani Steels Limited, emphasized the project's significance as a milestone in their collaboration with Odisha.
"We strive to establish a mutually beneficial connection, promoting both development and innovation, while creating a wealth of opportunities for high-skill employment", said Kalyani.
The event was attended by Minister of Industries Pratap Keshari Dev, Chairman of 5T and Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha, VK Pandian, and other senior officials.
