Kotak Mahindra Bank Names Ashok Gulati as Additional Director
Kotak Mahindra Bank, the renowned private sector lender has announced the appointment of agricultural economist Ashok Gulati as the additional independent director on its board. The term of Ashok, a keen backer of the recent farm laws who has also been appointed by the Supreme Court to a four-member panel. His tenure would be for five years starting from Saturday, the bank revealed in its official statement.
Prakash Apte, Non-executive Chairman, Kotak Mahindra Bank says, "His insights on the national and international agriculture sector and his experience as a Researcher and writer on the rural economy will immensely add value to our Bank."
Ashok hold an MA and PhD from Delhi School of Economics. Presently, he is serving Infosys as the Chair Professor for Agriculture at the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER), according to the statement.
