KP Group, a leading name in India’s renewable energy sector, has appointed Dr. Alok Das as its new Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective November 11, 2024. With over 30 years of experience in the renewable energy industry, Dr. Das is a recognized thought leader in sustainable energy solutions. His expertise includes wind, solar, hybrid energy systems, green hydrogen, and other cutting-edge technologies critical to shaping the future of energy.

Dr. Das, an alumnus of IIT Kanpur and a PhD holder in Renewable Energy has held significant leadership roles in top renewable and conventional energy companies, including Suzlon Energy, Reliance Energy, and NEPC Micon Limited. Throughout his career, he has been instrumental in developing and managing renewable energy projects, enhancing operational efficiency, and promoting sustainable energy policies across India and globally. His work in shaping India’s renewable energy policies since 1993 has contributed significantly to the industry’s progress and innovation.

At KP Group, Dr. Das is expected to spearhead strategic planning, project management, and business expansion efforts, with a focus on renewable energy initiatives. His appointment aligns with KP Group’s vision to strengthen its position in the renewable energy market by driving innovation and operational excellence. He serves as the chair of the Renewable Energy Subcommittee at the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) in Gujarat, further solidifying his leadership and dedication to advancing renewable energy.
