Kuku FM Names Jhoomer Sinha as VP for India Hindi Business

KukuKuku FM has promoted Jhoomer Sinha to the role of Vice President of its India Hindi Business. As she moves into this new role, Sinha will be responsible for the acquisition and leadership of the company's expansion efforts across the Hindi-speaking regions of the country. Her appointment is one of strategic reinforcement drive by Kuku FM in order to enhance its presence and growth within such territories as well as leverage her extensive experience in the consumer internet ecosystem.

Reporting into him will be Sinha, who will handle Kuku FM's Hindi content library and production, closely working with creators to develop new storytelling formats bespoke to the Hindi-speaking audience. She will also work on forging partnerships for new intellectual properties related to Hindi content, building high-performing teams across key strategic positions, and increasing the footprint of this platform in the new geographies. It will focus on enhancing customer engagement and revenue growth for Kuku FM, which is market leader in Hindi audio content.

Sinha comes with more than a decade of experience in business strategy, growth, and venture capital and has built a reputation as a strategic leader in the consumer internet industry. In her previous stints in consulting and venture capital, she has played a leading role in identifying and investing in leading consumer and internet brands, which will allow her to drive the next growth phase for Kuku FM's Hindi business.

Kuku FM has really shown rapid growth in Hindi-user base over the last year. In fact, 66% of its active listeners come from Hindi-speaking areas. The increase in Hindi content consumption by a whopping 30% is one of the critical demographics that have been critical to the company's overall strategy.

Sinha has an MBA degree from IIM Ahmedabad and a degree of B.Tech in Electronics from National Institute of Technology, Surat. Sinha's appointment to the strategic leadership team of Kuku FM gels with the company's objective of revenue and profitability enhancement through Generative AI in the production of its content, new formats, and multiple territories.

With Sinha at the helm of the Hindi division, Kuku FM will look to heighten leadership in the audio content market, especially in Hindi-speaking regions, and push its mission of original storytelling for audiences around the world.
