L&T Receives Contracts Worth Rs.2,500 Crore Domestically And Internationally

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) announced on Monday that it has received big orders worth more than Rs 2,500 crore in the domestic and international markets.

According to a statement, its affiliate Larsen & Toubro Construction's power transmission and distribution (PT&D) division has earned major orders for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) projects.

In Saudi Arabia, the company has received two orders to build 380kV overhead electricity transmission lines connecting major cities along the Red Sea coast. According to the business, another order is to design, supply, and build a 380kV substation in Saudi Arabia's central region.

"With new orders from a prominent Gujarat DISCOM, the PT&D business in India continued its winning streak in the Revamped Reforms Based and Results-Linked Distribution Sector (RDSS) Scheme projects." The scope of work includes "modernization and development of distribution infrastructure in three districts in Gujarat's southern region," according to the statement.

Projects of Rs 2,500-5,000 crore are classified as major orders by the company.
