Manuj Singhal Appointed DMRC Director of Infrastructure
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has appointed Manuj Singhal as its new Director of Infrastructure, officials announced. Singhal, an Indian Engineering Services (IES) officer from the 1994 batch, brings nearly 30 years of experience across multiple disciplines to his new role.
An electrical engineering graduate and post-graduate from Delhi College of Engineering, Singhal began his career at the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) before joining the Department of Telecom through IES. He has been with DMRC since 2006, most recently serving as Executive Director (Rolling Stock/Project).
As Director of Infrastructure, Singhal will oversee the maintenance of civil infrastructure, electrical systems, signaling, Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) systems, telecom, rolling stock, and solar power, according to Anuj Dayal, DMRC’s Principal Executive Director of Corporate Communication. Singhal has a significant track record in technical innovation, including his work on the energy mix for DMRC, electrical works for the Kochi Metro Project, and leasing lifts and escalators for DMRC’s Phase-IV project.
Singhal has also contributed to the industry through numerous technical papers published in national and international journals and conferences. His extensive expertise is expected to bolster DMRC’s infrastructure maintenance and expansion efforts.
