Maruti Suzuki, the biggest automaker in India, announced that it is speeding up efforts to broaden its service network throughout the nation in order to boost customer satisfaction and regain lost market share.

In order to cover virtually all of the 5,495 talukas in the country, the business, which has introduced a number of vehicles in the quickly expanding sport utility vehicle (SUV) class and announced aggressive capacity development plans, said it wants to construct 1,000 new service workshops in the three years leading up to March 2025. According to the report, a broad sales and service network will boost client satisfaction and aid in regaining 50% of the local market in the medium term.

"Establishing a solid aftersales network is one of our top priorities. Every day during this fiscal year, we will add one new service touch point. We already have coverage in 97% of the talukas nationwide. As we move forward with our expansion plans, we want to be more accessible to the client in order to boost satisfaction, according to Maruti Suzuki executive director (service) Partho Banerjee.

The corporation activated 310 service touchpoints in 2022–2023, which is a record high for a fiscal year. It currently spans 2,271 cities and 4,500 service touchpoints.

By the end of the decade, Maruti Suzuki plans to invest over 45,000 crore to quadruple production capacity to four million vehicles in order to meet domestic consumer demand and increase exports from the nation.
