MG Motor India Achieves Milestone with 500 Chargers in 500 Days

Under its Charge initiative, MG (Morris Garages) has successfully installed 500 chargers across India within 500 days since its launch in 2022. The program aims to deploy a total of 1,000 charging points within 1,000 days, specifically targeting apartment complexes, condominiums, and residential societies to facilitate convenient charging for both residents and guests.

MG Motor India, in collaboration with partners Exicom Telesystems, ElectreeFi, EchargerBays, Ionage, Statiq, and Highway Delite, has strategically rolled out 7.4kW chargers, achieving an average installation rate of one per day. This initiative spans approximately 50 prominent cities across the country.

MG Motor India has played a pivotal role in establishing a robust EV charging network, boasting over 15,000 charging points nationwide, encompassing both public and home charging facilities. Collaborating closely with ecosystem partners such as Glida, TPCL, BPCL, Jio-bp, Statiq, Zeon, and ChargeZone, the company is dedicated to expanding the EV charging infrastructure. Additionally, partnerships with Attero and Lohum focus on battery recycling, reuse, and prolonging battery life. MG Motor India's recent alliance with the Shoonya - Zero Pollution Mobility campaign, led by NITI Aayog, underscores its commitment to advancing electric vehicles.
