Micro Focus, a global leader that helps organizations run and transform its business acquired Interset, a security analytics software leader that provides highly intelligent and accurate cyber-threat protection. The acquisition will add depth to Micro Focus’ Security, Risk & Governanace portfolio, and aligns with the company’s strategy to help customers quickly and accurately validate and assess risk as they digitally transform their businesses. It brings Advanced Machine Learning and User and Entity Behavioral Analytics (UEBA) to an Already-Deep Security, Risk & Governance Portfolio.

The technology brought-in by Interset will accelerate Micro Focus’ delivery of a more-robust UEBA offering and help drive deeper data insights across security and operations that are necessary to execute on the company’s SecOps Analytics vision. Interset’s software excels in key verticals such as energy, critical infrastructure, high-tech, aerospace, defense and government – where threat detection is at a premium. It will also supplement Micro Focus ArcSight – the world’s leading real-time correlation engine – to deliver a highly differentiated cyber-security solution.
