OYO Elevates Sonal Sinha as CEO of G6 Hospitality

In a recent acquisition of the American motel chain G6 Hospitality from Blackstone Real Estate, the multinational travel technology company OYO elevated Sonal Sinha as CEO.
The acquisition, which was finalized in December of last year, greatly increased OYO's North American footprint by adding 1,500 franchised hotels in the US and Canada to its portfolio.
G6 Hospitality, which runs the well-known Motel 6 and Studio 6 brands, is expected to contribute $1.7 billion to the merged company's estimated Gross Booking Value of $3 billion.
It is anticipated that the combination of G6's portfolio with OYO's current operations will result in notable synergies and quicken growth in global markets.
Since joining OYO in 2015, Sinha has had a significant influence on a number of finance-related tasks.
He created crucial financial control structures, such as tax, accounting, and reconciliation, and oversaw efforts to improve business margins in his capacity as Chief Financial Officer-International Business.
He is expected to report to Gautam Swaroop, OYO's CEO of International. OYO's ongoing commitment to enhancing its global reach and creating a more responsive organization is reflected in these leadership moves.
“Sonal has been instrumental in driving OYO’s international business to new heights,” said OYO Founder & Group CEO Ritesh Agarwal.
“His deep understanding of our operations and proven track record of enhancing business performance make him the ideal leader to spearhead G6 Hospitality while maintaining the strong momentum of our global business.”
Sinha's hiring coincides with OYO's increased emphasis on delivering exceptional guest experiences and equipping hotel owners with the resources they require to prosper in the cutthroat industry of today.

By combining OYO's technologically advanced strategy with G6's well-established market presence, the combination seeks to produce a hospitality product that appeals to both hotel partners and visitors.
