Physics Wallah Secures $210 Million, Valuation Hits $2.8 Billion

EdtechEdtech firm Physics Wallah (PW) announced it has raised $210 million in its Series B funding round, bringing its valuation to $2.8 billion. The round was led by Hornbill Capital, with participation from Lightspeed Venture Partners, GSV, and WestBridge.

With the fresh capital, PW plans to expand its operations, focusing on consolidating its position in the education market. Key areas include expanding into the K-12 segment, enhancing its content and publication offerings, and exploring mergers with community-driven education platforms.

"This investment validates our efforts to democratize education and make it accessible to all students in India," said Alakh Pandey, Founder and CEO of Physics Wallah. He also emphasized the company’s impact on students nationwide.

PW currently delivers 9,500 hours of educational content weekly, reaching students across 18,808 pin codes, covering 98% of the country. The firm boasts a student base of over 4.6 crore across 112 YouTube channels in five vernacular languages.

Prateek Maheshwari, Co-Founder of PW, highlighted the company’s consistent year-on-year growth and its trajectory towards significant profitability in FY25.

Founded in 2020, Physics Wallah has rapidly emerged as a key player in India’s edtech sector, aiming to make quality education accessible to millions of students.
