PM Modi to Launch Multiple Development Projects in Telangana and Tamil Nadu

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to undertake a three-day tour of five states: Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, West Bengal, and Bihar. Earlier, PM Modi stated that the developmental projects to be inaugurated during his forthcoming visit across these states span various sectors and will significantly impact numerous lives.

The Prime Minister is slated to inaugurate, dedicate, and lay the foundation stone for numerous development ventures in Telangana's Adilabad, encompassing the power, rail and road sectors, collectively valued at over Rs. 56,000 crores. These initiatives will primarily emphasize advancements in the power sector. Specifically, he will dedicate NTPC's 800 MW (Unit-2) to the Telangana Super Thermal Power Project located in Peddapalli, Telangana.

Utilizing ultra-supercritical technology, the project is poised to provide 85 percent of its power output to Telangana, boasting the highest power generation efficiency of approximately 42 percent among all NTPC power stations in India. Additionally, the Prime Minister had the honor of laying the foundation stone for this project. PM Modi will further dedicate 660 MW (Unit-2) of the North Karanpura Super Thermal Power Project in Chatra, Jharkhand.

This marks the nation's inaugural Supercritical Thermal Power Project incorporating an Air-Cooled Condenser (ACC) of unprecedented scale, significantly reducing water consumption to one-third compared to conventional water-cooled condensers. The Prime Minister initiated the commencement of work on this project. Additionally, PM Modi will inaugurate the Fly Ash Based Lightweight Aggregate Plant in Sipat, Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, and the STP Water to Green Hydrogen Plant in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.

Additionally, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for several key projects, including the Singrauli Super Thermal Power Project, Stage-III (2x800 MW) in Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh; the Flue Gas CO2 to 4G Ethanol Plant in Lara, Raigarh, Chhattisgarh; the Sea Water to Green Hydrogen Plant in Simhadri, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh; and the Fly Ash Based FALG Aggregate Plant in Korba, Chhattisgarh. Furthermore, he will inaugurate seven projects and lay the foundation stone for one project of the Power Grid Corporation of India.
