In a noteworthy move to elevate the travel experience, 553 railway stations are slated for redevelopment under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. The foundation stones for these stations will be laid, contributing to a total investment exceeding Rs 19,000 crore. These revamped stations, situated across 27 states and Union Territories, are envisioned as central hubs with modern amenities, green spaces, intermodal connectivity, and a focus on environmental and accessibility considerations.

As part of the initiative to enhance railway stations, the Prime Minister will unveil the redeveloped Gomti Nagar station in Uttar Pradesh. With a total investment of approximately Rs 385 crore, this centrally air-conditioned station boasts segregated arrival and departure facilities, modern amenities, and efficient circulation. The station aligns with the goal of integrating both sides of the city and accommodating future passenger influx.
