PocketPocket FM, an audio series platform, has appointed Suyog Gothi as Vice President and India Country Head on January 9, as part of the Bengaluru-based startup's efforts to fortify its leadership team for future expansion. In his new role, Gothi will lead the company's operations in India, collaborating closely with co-founders Rohan Nayak and Nishanth KS, according to a statement from Pocket FM. During his nearly seven-year tenure at PhonePe, Gothi held various roles, contributing to the growth of PhonePe's UPI payments business. Prior to PhonePe, he had work experiences at RoadRunnr and Flipkart. Pocket FM's co-founder Nishanth KS expressed confidence in Gothi's abilities, stating, "His established achievements and forward-thinking approach resonate with our objectives for expansion and innovation. We trust that Suyog will play a crucial role in elevating Pocket FM's success in India."

In the past year, Pocket FM has reinforced its leadership team by making significant hires, including the appointment of former Netflix executive Pannagadatta K. Shivaswamy to spearhead the company's artificial intelligence initiatives. Additionally, former PhonePe executive Subeer Bakshi was brought onboard as Head of People and Culture, while Vivek Bhutyani from Vedantu was appointed as VP-Content Marketing. The company also welcomed former Meta executive Niteesh Yadav as the director of design.
