Poonawalla Fincorp Names Fiserv's Salil Hajarnis as CTO
Poonawalla Fincorp, a non-banking finance company promoted by the Cyrus Poonawalla Group, has appointed Salil Hajarnis as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO), according to a statement.
His appointment was approved by the board of directors on September 11, 2024, and will take effect on December 10, 2024. He will lead the company's technology strategy, focusing on digital transformation and AI-driven customer solutions.
With more than 20 years of experience in technology leadership, Hajarnis has held roles across enterprise architecture, software engineering, and AI integration. At Fiserv, as the head of technology for India, he spearheaded key initiatives, including AI and API-driven solutions, real-time integrations, and platform modernization across India, ASEAN, and Australia.
Prior to Fiserv, he held senior roles at Capgemini, where he managed complex transformations built technology-driven customer experiences, and aided in building the technology strategy for lending businesses of global financial institutions. His expertise includes modernizing legacy systems, enhancing platform capabilities, and delivering innovative lending and payment solutions.

As CTO, Hajarnis will define the company's technology strategy and drive improvements in operational efficiency.
