Quess Corp Names Gurmeet Chahal CEO of Quess GTS Amid Demerger Plans

BusinessBusiness services provider Quess Corp has appointed Gurmeet Chahal as Chief Executive Officer, Quess Global Technology Solutions (GTS), as part of its ongoing demerger into Digitide solutions.

Chahal's appointment follows the February announcement of the demerger and underlines Quess Corp's strategic focus on stepping up leadership in current digital technology across domains such as healthcare, financial services, and advanced data technologies like AI and analytics.

With nearly 25 years of experience across sectors such as healthcare, financial services, technology, and manufacturing in digital transformation globally, Chahal moves to Quess GTS from Genpact, where he was leading global digital transformation services. His other earlier leadership stints were at HCL Technologies and DXC, leading large-scale technology transformation programs.

Ajit Isaac, chairman of Quess Corp, exuded confidence in Chahal's leadership. He has the expertise gained in North America and in digital transformation. Isaac said Chahal would drive the global revenue growth plan to position the Quess GTS business as a $1 billion technology business.

Chahal was excited to lead Quess GTS. Noting its strong portfolio of platforms and solutions, Chahal said that he looks forward to working with the leadership team to make the organization realize its vision.

The demerger process is likely to take 12-15 months, and the process is on track, subject to SEBI approval. Besides the appointment of Chahal, Quess Corp is building up other governance structures and supervisory boards as part of the transition process.

The appointment of Gurmeet Chahal as the CEO of Quess GTS comes as a strong statement of the strategy by Quess Corp. toward establishing a stronger foothold in the technology services sector amid continuous structural changes.
