Richard Lobo Named Chief Human Resources Officer at Tech Mahindra
"Former Infosys executive VP of human resources, Richard Lobo, has been appointed as the chief people officer at Tech Mahindra, marking a significant global leadership transition. This strategic move is part of Tech Mahindra's ongoing restructuring under CEO Mohit Joshi. Tech Mahindra's official statement emphasized Lobo's extensive 25 years of experience in HR, expressing confidence in his ability to spearhead the HR initiatives at @Tech_Mahindra. The company aims to further enhance people-centric processes, drive sustainable growth, and cultivate an exceptional working environment based on prioritizing its workforce".
Lobo, with over 22 years of experience at Infosys and having previously worked alongside Joshi, departed from Infosys in August. Before joining Tech Mahindra, Lobo served as an HR consultant and strategic advisor at BYJU’s. CEO Mohit Joshi extended a warm welcome to Lobo, emphasizing his people-centric approach that empowers organizations in today's evolving work landscape. Joshi also highlighted Lobo's dedication to nurturing emerging leaders, expressing anticipation for their joint efforts to propel #TechMahindraOnwardsAndUpwards.
Simultaneously, Tech Mahindra appointed Peeyush Dubey, former LTI Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), as its new CMO. This decision aligns with CEO Mohit Joshi's restructuring efforts, where Harshvendra Soin, previously handling CHRO and marketing roles, will now focus on overseeing the consolidated Asia Pacific and Japan business, relocating to Australia. Joshi's restructuring strategy, unveiled during the second-quarter earnings conference in October, introduced a vertical-oriented approach, dividing Tech Mahindra into six business units: Americas Communication, Americas Technology Media, Americas diversified, EMEA, APJ, and India.
