Sanju Samson Reveals Team India's T20 World Cup Victory Jersey
Sanju Samson has unveiled a special jersey celebrating Team India's victory in the Men's T20 World Cup. The Indian cricket team, led by Rohit Sharma, received a warm welcome upon their return to New Delhi aboard a specially arranged charter flight. Despite weather and security measures, thousands of enthusiastic fans gathered at the airport to greet their heroes. The team proudly displayed the T20 World Cup trophy to the cheering crowd before heading to the ITC Maurya hotel.
In a photo shared on Instagram by Samson, the new jersey prominently features an updated design: a second star above the BCCI logo, symbolizing India's second T20 World Cup triumph. The jersey boldly bears the word "champions" across the front, serving as a poignant reminder of their hard-earned victory. This addition pays homage to India’s inaugural T20 World Cup win under MS Dhoni’s leadership in 2007, bridging past and present achievements in a testament to the team's resilience.
After a brief rest at the hotel, the victorious squad of 15 players, accompanied by support staff led by Rahul Dravid, are scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. This meeting is poised to be a significant occasion, celebrating the team's accomplishments and recognizing their dedication and skill on the global stage.
Following their meeting with the Prime Minister, the team will return to the airport for a special flight to Mumbai. Upon arrival, they will proceed to Wankhede Stadium, where the BCCI has organized a 1 km victory parade from Nariman Point to the stadium. The parade will be followed by a small ceremony at Wankhede Stadium, marking the culmination of celebrations for their T20 World Cup triumph.
