SHARP Partners QNET to Market Next Gen SmartAir Air Purifier

QNET launches SmartAir, a new state-of-the-art air purifier model as part of its ongoing partnership with Sharp Business Systems in India. The new SHARP-QNET SmartAir features Sharp’s patented Plasmacluster Ion Technology (PCI) with proven efficacy in obliterating SARS-CoV-2 by 91.3 percent within 30 seconds.

The PCI technology is certified by 33 global labs for its effectiveness in killing deadly viruses, neutralising gases, chemicals, VOCs, destroying several infection-causing pathogens, reducing static charge, and improving skin health. The product is available for sale through QNET’s direct selling distributor network in India.

The SHARP-QNET SmartAir has also incorporated IoT functionality that allows it to be connected to Wi-Fi and operated from anywhere on a smartphone through the ‘SHARP Air’ mobile app (available for both Android and iOS users). The app allows users to control their device, pre-set the humidity level, check for information such as air quality, timer setting, filter status and more.

Rishi Chandiok, Regional Director (South Asia), QNET said, “We have a 6-years long relationship with SHARP in India that has only been growing in strength. Our aim is to offer our customers value-added products that will help them live healthier, holistic lives. The spread of Covid-19 has brought into sharp focus the need for home care solutions that can protect the entire family."

The SmartAir is also equipped with Sharp’s original HAZE Mode for superior and efficient cleaning during smog and high impurity conditions. Priced Rs.43670, this device is aesthetically designed and features a distinct control panel that is easy to use and looks great in any room. This product's unique 20-degree air flow ensures reach in every corner of the room, with a comprehensive coverage of 450 sq. ft.

“We have witnessed a 150 percent YoY growth in our air purifier product segment (2019-20), indicative of increased focus on health & wellness. We expect a CAGR of around 30% in our air purifier segment over the next three years,” added Nischal C, Head of Corporate Communications, QNET, India.
